Scotty Hard Benefit

scott hardingVancouver native/New York City hip-hop/jazz producer and composer Scott Harding (aka Scotty Hard) who’s worked with the likes of De La Soul, Brand Nubian, and PM Dawn over his 20+ year career, was struck by a drunk driver while leaving a music studio last month. He suffered many injuries, including a crushed vertebrae that left him partially paralyzed. The worst news? No health insurance. Thankfully the music industry (minus the whole P. Diddy/Tupac thing) likes to take care of its wounded. The Highline Ballroom is holding a jazzed out, beat-centric benefit show which includes Antibalas, DJ Logic, and John Scofield…..just to name a few. It’ll be a great gathering of like minded, open hearted folks honoring the soulful fusion of hip hop and jazz. All proceeds benefit Scotty’s medical bills.
