Top artists are taking New York by force this summer in a series of free concerts throughout parks in the city. While the shows at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park are more widely known, other venues included are located throughout the five boroughs, including the Bronx's Crotona Park and the Socrates Sculpture Park in Queens. We're counting down to see Chairlift (June 14), Just Blaze (June 15), and Blonde Redhead (June 16) at Coffey Park. Put Neon Indian (August 9) at East River Park and Indigo Girls (June 27) at Central Park on your calendar.
Broke Gal Tip: SummerStage offers more than just music. World class cultural events include dance master classes, a night at the opera and broadway hits. Get cultured, outside.
