The New York Times Sunday Style section reports that the new manifestation of the classic American mid-life crisis is the garage band. Did they say new? I'm sorry, but this form of mid-life crisis has been around for a while. Sure the sports car, the mistress, and the boat are traditional favorites, but there really isn't anything new about old dudes doing shitty covers of "I am women" and "Brown-eyed girl". But it is probably the most constructive and cheap form...certainly a lot cheaper than a mistress.
