10. Austin Peters
Austin Peters, a new and up coming DJ from Santa Monica CA and who has a background of film and directing, is spinning up sounds for some of the hottest spots in NYC like the Dream Hotel, The Jane and Lit Lounge in the East Villiage.
He started out DJ-ing at a very young age (like 13, what!), but he did not get his big start until he met one of the owners of Lit Lounge and gave him a job spinning in the bar's basement. His music is a mix of beats from 70s, 80s with a mix of punk brit pop.
Austin now spins at the Westway on Wednesday nights, and works as a video director for Levi's Jeans.
