Rudy's Bar and Grill
If you've ever walked down Ninth Avenue, chances are you've seen the six-foot-tall pig waving at you from the entrance of Rudy's Bar and Grill. Established in 1933, Rudy's was one of the first bars to obtain a New York drinking license after Prohibition, and they've certainly made good use of it, serving $7 pitchers of beer from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m from Monday to Saturday.
The place is dive-y, sure, but the cheap prices and free hotdogs attract patrons of all types, particularly in warmer weather when the garden patio is open. Expect crowds at all times and seasons!
