What: As The General, Finale, and Bow, 199 Bowery had a strong run, regularly drawing in a crowd for dinner, late night EDM-fueled parties, and even jazz towards the end. Now the space is open again as Vandal, a restaurant and lounge that will appeal to regulars who miss the space, as well as newcomers who are seeking nightlife with an artsy twist. As the name suggests, graffiti and murals serve as a contrast to the elegant space, to evoke the spirit of a grungier NYC.
