Overview: Acme had been a NoHo staple for 25 years when it closed last year, but the reopening revealed a cooler and more interesting venues than the Acme of long ago.

More Details: The bi-level space boasts an impressive dining room (with a menu by executive chef Mads Refslund), but it's the basement lounge that's home to the chicest parties in the neighborhood. Rodarte and Last Magazine
held their after-parties at Acme last February during Fashion Week, and we can expect even more exclusive parties this year.
Insider's Scorecard: The upper-level restaurant is good, but it's the basement lounge that's the real draw not only during fashion week, but throughout the year as well. Make it past the doorman, who stands guard at the top of the stairs, and you're always guaranteed a good party.
