While Eloise was running around The Plaza, the adults in that book were probably making quite a bit of their own mischief inside The Rose Club, though then it was known as the Persian Room. If only the walls of this swanky bar could talk - or sing. The jazz lounge hosted performances by all of the greats, including Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Billie Holiday. These days, thankfully, it still upholds its musical tradition.
