The Blue Bar

Debuting just after the fall of Prohibition in 1933, The Blue Bar at the Algonquin is probably the classiest spot you can find around Times Square. Through the 1920s, the hotel infamously hosted the literary cool kids of the Algonquin Round Table, which included, and inspired, Dorothy Parker.
