[All photos by D Jonathon Ziegler for PMc] The cast in the Lincoln Center Theater's production of "When The Rain Stops Falling" had a party last night at O'Neals'. Everyone was careful to leave the drama on the stage and instead, celebrate a successful opening night.
David Cromer's play is based on Andrew Bovell's book of the same title, and focuses on four generations of one family. It premiered in 2008 at Australia's Adelaide Festival, and since then has been performed to sold-out venues in Sydney, Melbourne, and London. The cast is made up in large part by acting veterans, who've appeared in numerous Broadway plays and popular TV shows such as "Gossip Girl" (that's actor Will Rogers's credit). And at the play's most fundamental level, it seems to have a lot in common with GG: complicated families, mysteries, people taking lovers, and self-exploration. Could this play be what GG would look like if it stays on television for another ten years?
