LowLine: An Underground Park on NYC's Lower East Side
LowLine plans on transforming an abandoned trolley terminal on the Lower East Side into the world's first underground park. It will be eco friendly using solar technology for natural illumination. The space is about 60,000 square feet and was built in 1903 but has been out of operation since 1948.
