NEW YORK CITY BALLET SPRING GALA TO FEATURE TWO WORLD PREMIERES WORKS

About:  The one-night-only Spring Gala program will feature the world premiere of two new works, including American Rhapsody by Christopher Wheeldon, director and choreographer of the Tony Award-winning musical An American in Paris and former NYCB company member and Resident Choreographer.  Set to the symphonic version of George Gershwin’s 1924 score Rhapsody in Blue, the work will feature costumes designed by former NYCB Principal Dancer Janie Taylor, scenic design by the New York-based Cuban artist Leslie Sardinias, and lighting by Mark Stanley.
