Party For Puerto Rico This Sunday With Some Local Hot Spots

by Stephanie Maida · September 29, 2017

As most of us know, Puerto Rico has been left in complete devastation after the wrath of Hurricane Maria. The beautiful island and its people are facing total power outages, have no clean water, and are running out of food and supplies. It's easy to feel powerless in these (unfortunately, recurring) situations, but this weekend you can lend a hand. And all you have to do is brunch!

East Village eatery Out East has teamed up with local hot spots including The Garret East, Chillhouse, The Wayfarer, Equinox, and more to host a fundraising brunch bash donating much-needed funds towards Hurricane Maria Recovery and Waves for Water, which provides communities with water filtration systems.

With music by DJ Doug Rand and live raffle drawings, Fuerza La Isla Bonita is sure to be the best way to spend your Sunday.

Tickets can be purchased HERE, and in person donations of diapers, baby food, batteries, first-aid supplies, feminine hygiene products, towels, blankets, flashlights, non-perishable food, clean summer clothes, will also be accepted.
