Set Sail On The Mark's Super Chic Sailboat This Summer

“Whenever I find myself growing grim about the mouth; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself involuntarily pausing before coffin warehouses, and bringing up the rear of every funeral I meet; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off - then, I account it high time to get to sea as soon as I can."

Even if you're nowhere near as angsty as Moby Dick's Ishmael, getting out on the water is always a good idea. And now, thanks to The Mark, it's the absolute chicest way to spend an afternoon in the city!

The beloved Upper East Side hotel has just launched their cult favorite sailboat experience for the summer. Their 70-foot Herreshoff sailboat, which is one of the last in existence, can host up to 25 guests and is available for private charter to The Mark’s hotel guests, friends and neighbors.

Prepare to set sail from Tribeca’s North Cove Marina, embarking on a two-hour journey southward into New York Harbor filled with sites to see (the Statue of Liberty never gets old, does it?), bubbly to sip and of course, lots of delicious food. To keep guests focusing on the view, the Mark’s resident chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, specifically designed the small bites menu filled with seafood favorites.

Looking to make it an affair to remember? The Mark’s Wedding Officiant can always be brought on board for an al fresco ceremony on the high seas.
