The infamous bohemian haunt of poets, artists, and musicians - from Janis Joplin and Patti Smith to Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen - the Chelsea served as a residence and hangout for Dylan, as well as an endless source of inspiration. According to his song "Sara," it was the spot he wrote "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" for his wife, Sara Lownds.
