3. Soak in the Arts.
Besides the obvious museums (
the MET,
New Museum and
Natural History Museum are my favorite go-to's) that you should absolutely check out while you're in town, there will be, without fail, several exhibits at ultra cool galleries around town that you can pop in on and really get your art (and culture fill).
Skipping the bigger museums and heading to a smaller gallery exhibit will help you loose the mass tourist crowds and feel like you are a super groovy person. Most exhibits run for a week or two, which is why scanning over our handy dandy [
CALENDAR PAGE] is a good idea.
How to find exhibits? We also try to do a "Everything You Need To Know This Week On NY's Art Scene" Post each week. You can find it under our art category HERE.
Finally, don't forget to put your iPhones down while walking the streets of NYC for some of the best street art you'll ever lay your eyes on. Who knows, maybe you'll spot the newest Banksy.
