Other details: Indonesian restaurant and cafe Kopi Kopi celebrated their one year anniversary with a party over the weekend. The event featured three live Indonesian musical and dance performances by Saung Budaya, a photo booth, raffle, and food cooked by the President of Indonesian Chef Association and Top Chef Indonesia’s Henry Alexie Bloem – a Balinese-based chef sponsored by Kopi Kopi to come to NYC to promote authentic Indonesian cuisine. During the event, guests sipped on Kopi espresso martinis and Bajigur (coconut espresso cocktail)– as well as a signature drink: Es Alpukat, a refreshing avocado-based coffee milkshake with condensed milk and chocolate syrup, and traditional Indonesian dishes, such as Nasi Kuning (yellow coconut rice), Sate Ayam, and Beef Rendang (caramelized beef, cooked for six hours) - all prepared by Chef Bloem. The restaurant was also honored by the presence of the Indonesian Ambassador to the UN H.E. Mr. Percaya, his wife Mrs. Sari Percaya, cementing it's status as a predominant Indonesian culinary destination in NYC.
