[Sarah Morris] Other details: This year the Parisienne company Longchamp is celebrating 20 years of their most iconic line, the Le Pliage bag. Last night showcased two collaborations, one with Assouline to launch their book titled "Le Pliage by Longchamp." The publication tells the story and background behind this signature style, as well as its creation, evolution, and transformation over the years. Second is the collaboration with British-American artist Sarah Morris, who reinterpreted the classic nylon bag and created a variation of three lines: one reflecting her piece, "Total Annual Solar Eclipse," a second one featuring 8 different vibrant and upbeat shades ranging in all colors Morris toys with, paired with the option of white or black leather handles, and a third signed calf hair handbag inspired by her Rio Series. The line features the cult-bag in handbag size, travel, and tote, all Le Pliage classics. A fun chandelier-esque display hung from the ceiling. The masterpiece was made of Le Pliage bags, all in different colors and sizes hanging at different lengths. Guests also had the chance to see some of the new designs created by Sarah Morris displayed on one side of the gallery, including The Handbag. This style is a more square-shaped version, but stays true to the Le Pliage line.  On the opposite side of the gallery were some of the bags designed by American fashion designer Jeremy Scott back in 2006.
