ADEAM and The Last Magazine Celebrate the Brand's Introduction to E-Commerce
Where: ADEAM, NYC
Who was there: Guests included Tenzin Wild, Magnus Berger, Jenne Lombardo, Tao Okamoto, Kristina O’Neill, Sophie Elgort, Julia Loomis, Laura Kosann, Brandee Brown, Monica Rich Kosann, Freddie Leiba, and Chelsea Leyland.
Other details: As Chelsea Leyland made her way into ADEAM, she wasted no time getting to her DJ table and turning on some mixes. The ADEAM and The Last Magazine event was hosted at ADEAM, which is entirely white including the love seats and drink tables, but small translucent chairs accompanied them. The suite had at least ten windows - and as the sun set, the circular candles illuminated the room. The event started at 7 p.m. and as Leyland moved her fingers swiftly from the turn table to her Macbook, people started to trickle in. Poppy’s of Brooklyn catered the event with scrumptious hor d’oeuvres such as quiche with raspberry and basil and beet slices topped with a gourmet yogurt. We spoke with Freddie Leiba, who said “I’ve been in the fashion business probably longer than you were alive.” He went on to say he was born in London then moved to NYC in the 1970s, when he became good friends with Andy Warhol. Gin and tonics or glasses of champagne occupied guests' hands as they watched short videos from a projector while bobbing their heads to Leyland’s music. Jenne Lombardo entered the event with professional skateboarder Eli Reed. Later on, she was alongside Leyland as she changed her mixes. Groups of people surrounded Lombardo as she took pictures with everyone. The room filled with friends and artists a little after 8 p.m., and servers were racing back and forth to fill there serving plates with more hor d’oeuvres.
