Who was there: Guests included Quincy Jones, Morgan Freeman, Elvis Costello, Nicholas Payton, Johnathan Batiste, Wendy Oxenhorn, Macy Gray, Matthew Whitaker, Babi Floyd, Henry Butler, Chad Smith, Danny Glover, Frank Greene, Jerry Dodgion, Richard Parsons, Warren Geller, and Jarrett Lilien.
Other details: Elvis Costello, Macy Gray, the Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, Paul Shaffer and others performed at the Apollo Theater for the A Great Night in Harlem gala. After the performances, guests stuck around for the dinner and after party, which included a surprise appearance by pianist Chick Corea.
