Anna Wintour celebrated with the NYPL; Madonna and James Franco caught a DJ set by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy; Katie Holmes wore purple to the Drama Desk Awards; Zach Galifianakis partied at The Top of The Standard; Larry King hosted the Peabody Awards and more. Last night's parties were like a brand new pair of bespangled suspenders!

Apparently Zach Galifianakis was the hit of the party (surprised?). Guests, which included Madonna and James Franco, enjoyed a special solo performances by violinist Hahn-Bin and Martha Wainwright. After dinner, guests head to the Sculpture Garden where a line of hired models provided eye candy as they stood with umbrellas ready for the inevitable rain. Other Details: The Book of Mormon continues its winning streak, as Daniel Radcliffe continues to get snubbed.  At least Harry Potter still gets to go to the parties! This was a good one too. Not only was it filled with theatre types but Katie Holmes, who starred on Broadway last year, came in from Florida on a helicopter just for the event. [Via]
