Other details: Last night, Pioneer Works hosted the Village Fête along with The Fat Radish. The massive event took place at artist Dustin Yellin's Pioneer Works studio, and featured a special whole-cow dinner prepared by The Fat Radish. This was the first time most of the guests visited the Pioneer Works studio, and it was even the first time many had been to Red Hook, so the crowd slowly trickled in during the cocktail hour. As they sipped on Absolut vodka cocktails and Sixpoint beer, they explored the space and Yellin's adjacent gallery where his work is displayed. Liv Tyler chatted with Derek Blasberg, Lauren Santo Domingo, and Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for most of the night. Naomi Watts stunned in a maroon dress as she checked out the artwork upstairs. It was also a family affair, as Brooklynite Maggie Gyllenhaal, who sported beach blonde hair, was joined by husband Peter Sarsgaard and her brother Jake. Hannah Bronfman met up with Ben Bronfman, and Harley Viera Newton brought her mom Cristina as her plus one. In the main rooms, a couple dozen art pieces were hung up for the auction, but the upstairs gave a better insight into the actual space used to create the artwork. There was also a yard in the back, beautifully decorated with lights and flowers, where the meat was being cooked and Absolut set up an additional bar which Andre Saraiva and Glenn O'Brien took advantage of.

The dinner consisted of the cow, a shaved brussel sprout and parmesan salad, a quinoa salad, and skewered vegetables, all made with The Fat Radish's signature touch. Paddle8's Alexander Gilkes hosted a live auction during the meal, and was followed by an opera singer whose voice carried throughout the bi-level space. Immediately following the dinner, Mike D of the Beastie Boys got on the decks to get the crowd warmed up for the party. The dancefloor really filled up when Ariel Pink took the stage, with Gemima Kirke, Alix Brown, and Harry Beee all excited to catch his garage-rock set. MGMT and Chances With Wolves closed out the night with a DJ set, and guests left the tremendously fun night with an issue of Pioneer Works' magazine 'Intercourse' and a matching tote bag.
