Other details: It was a breezy and beautiful night at the "Scenes From the City" book launch on Monday. The expanded and revised edition of "Scenes From the City: Filmmaking in New York" displayed over 250 pages of photos of films shot in the city. The book also contained images of iconic actors, directors and film makers. The launch took place on the rooftop at The Standard Hotel East Village, where guests admired the amazing views from the Empire State Building to the Freedom Tower. Cocktails were served outside, while others flipped through "Scenes From the City" inside. Inside the glass doors, two large monitors screened photographs from the book. Later that evening, as the city’s lights emerged, Brooke Geahan, Author James Sanders, NYC film commissioner Cynthia Lopez and Actress Molly Ringwald spoke and gave gratitude to their supporters.
