BOYY Spring 2014 Launch At Bergdorf Goodman

Other details: Last night, designers Wannasiri Kongman and Jesse Dorsey celebrated the debut of BOYY at Bergdorf Goodman. The designers were brimming with excitement as the duo’s assortment of calf-hair and studded handbags were showcased on Bergdorfs’ 5F. “Its huge, [yet also] nostalgic”, gushed Dorsey, recounting memories of family vacations to New York and Bergdorf Goodman. Dorsey’s parents were also in attendance, beaming with pride as they walked customers through the product line. The designers credited travel to refueling their creativity - particularly Italy where they source much of BOYY’s materials. When a nearby customer made a purchase, Kongman grew particularly animated asking, “Which bag did you buy?!” The designers continued to mix and mingle with 5F shoppers, creating an undoubtedly personal shopping experience. When asked how the two work as a duo, Dorsey cheekily added, “Friction turns to diamonds.”
