Maison Kitsuné Hosts "Le Cabinet de Curiosités"
Camille Rowe, Gildas LoaecWhere: Avant/Garde Diaries Other details: Last night, Maison Kitsuné helped bring Thomas Erber's "Le Cabinet de Curiosités" to NYC with a grand opening party at the Avant/Garde Diaries space. The room was quickly filled up with artists, designers, and influencers, who were engaged in the creative products and artwork displayed throughout the room. One of Maison Kitsuné's founding members Masaya Kuroki eagerly showed off the limited edition bomber jacket exclusive to the pop-up he designed. When asked if he would join his co-founder Gildas Loaëc and frequent collaborator André Saraiva for Art Basel, he said he was heading right back to Paris to finish off the new collection which will debut in January and last until January 31st. He mentioned he would explore all the offerings, but certainly make stops at Saraiva's pop-ups. Model Camille Rowe was more keen on talking about music, and was anticipating the major MGMT concert next week at Barclays Center. Back inside, Lower East Side cocktail bar Experimental Cocktail Club set up an Pernod absinthe fountain with which they served cocktails, as Kitsuné recently collaborated with the brand on limited edition bottles. We also caught up with one of our favorite tattoo artists Minka Sicklinger, who gave us the details of a graphic design she tattoo'd on Liam Sparkes, and how she's waiting for a piece by him in return.
