Last Night's Parties: Lady Gaga Joins Harper's BAZAAR In Celebrating ICONS By Carine Roitfeld & More!

As expected, Lady Gaga entered the party to much fanfare. She was swarmed by a crowd of people before she could even make it to the ballroom, but still managed to greet Stephen Gan, Donatella Versace, and Carine Roitfeld. She disappeared for most of the party, and left the crowd guessing as to when she would actually take to the stage. Calvin Klein menswear designer Italo Zucchelli waited near the stage for her jazz set to start and was discussing the many events he had attended over the last few days, but was also becoming flustered by the increasingly hot room. [Lady Gaga by Billy Farrell/BFAnyc.com via @samsungmobile] The curtains finally opened on the stage to reveal Gaga sitting beside trumpeter and singer Brian Newman, whom she said she's known since she was 19. Near the end of her second song, she paused and looked at the chatty crowd before saying "Will you motherfuckers shut up? We're playing some jazz. Goddamn rich people." The crowd took it in jest, but not everyone was thrilled with the noise from the back of the room. Jenna Lyons said she loved the performance but was annoyed at how much talking was going on, not in the least because it was disrespectful to the performer. Nonetheless, Gaga shared kinder words towards the end: "I hope you all remember that at some point you were just young in New York City trying to make it. And everything is nice and coming up roses, but there was a time when you didn't have anything. All the women on this list worked very hard to be where they are today. There's nothing more iconic than passion, so party with some fucking passion tonight." She also dedicated the Cole Porter song "Every Time We Say Goodbye" to Gan, Roitfeld, as well as a special mention to her boyfriend Taylor Kinney, who she gleamingly looked at as she sang. Following the performance, guests continued to mingle, savoring up the chic atmosphere for as long as they could. In the elevators heading down, Kendall Jenner did a quick photo shoot in her beautiful cream gown, fittingly capping off the dazzling night.
