Other details: Art appreciators and pop culture purveyors came together last night at Chelsea's Gagosian gallery for the opening of the new Jeff Koons exhibition. Spread throughout four rooms of the massive space, Koons's kitschy paintings featuring blow-up dolphins, graffitti-vandalized greek sculptures, and comic book references lined the walls while his vivid, hyper-glossy balloon animal sculptures took the main stage. Somewhere between the security guards urging viewers not to photograph the work and a giant red monkey balloon figure, there emerged a female figure clothed only in body paint. Needless to say the "no photos" effort was useless after that.
