Veuve Clicquot champagne celebrated the sixth-annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park to benefit the event home as it is sustained significant damage due to Hurricane Sandy.
Matthew McConaughey kicked-off the day as co-host alongside

Delfina Blaquier and President of Veuve Clicquot U.S.,
Vanessa Kay. Beginning the festivities, Broadway star
Norm Lewis sang the National Anthem and
Dree Hemingway threw out the ceremonial toss-in.

As Nacho was injured from a polo match two weeks prior, his son Hilario played on team Black Watch and defeated team Nespresso 8-6 in an exciting game. During half-time,
Matthew McConaughey and
Camila Alves McConaughey went out onto the field for the stomping of the divots, a classic polo tradition. Throughout the match, guests sipped Veuve Clicquot champagne, feasted on a polo-perfect lunch, and watched on the side lines as 7,000 New Yorkers took in the sweeping views of the city skyline and the Statue of Liberty.
