Other details: When the event began around 6:30, the new Kiehls location in Nolita was jam packed, with a long line down Mulberry Street of customers waiting to get in. There were Kiehls employees scattered throughout the store to answer questions about Kiehls products and hand out candy, snacks, and refreshments. There were stations set up in the middle of the store for Kiehls employees to apply products and advise customers on different Kiehls products. Artist Marilyn Minter was set up near the main register signing the special tote bag she designed for Kiehls. Proceeds from the purchase of the specially designed tote were donated to Planned Parenthood. Guests admired the chandelier piece by Marilyn Minter on permanent display on the ceiling at the front of the store. Chaos erupted at the store’s entrance upon the arrival of "Orange is the New Black" cast members Uzo Aduba, Selenis Leyva, and Laverne Cox. Press photographers and onlookers snapped photos of the actresses as they entered the store, after which they chatted with each other before being escorted around the space.
