Other details: W Hotels and charity:water have recently launched a partnership that will allow W guests to get involved with the organization. charity: water founder and CEO Scott Harrison and W Hotels Vice President, North America, Carlos Becil hosted a private luncheon Friday at the W Times Square in the newly-renovated Extreme WOW! suite to announce details of the partnership. After the lunch, charity: water and the W held an interactive exhibition in Times Square to create a simulation of the way women and children in developing countries often have to carry water. The Water Walk allowed participants to carry two 40-pound Jerry cans a short distance. Although it was only a fraction of the distance people must walk in third-world countries, the exhibition recreated part of the experience.
