Last Night's Parties: Padma Lakshmi Hosts Annual Blossom Ball, Opening Ceremony Hits Boom Boom For Japan

    Padma Lakshmi brought Brazilian Carnival dancers to a fancy ball, the cool kids hit Boom Boom Room to party for Japan,  "Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical" opened to rave reviews, and Tina Fey gave some thought to how she would come out of the closet.     Other Details: Padma Lakshmi was not only the co-host of the 3rd Annual Blossom Ball at The New York Public Library, she also played party organizer. According to the Wall Street Journal "She encouraged short and sweet speeches and offered what every great benefit should feature within the confines of the New York Public Library: wine bottles and models (Ms. Lakshmi's beau, Ted Forstmann, who owns IMG, is a big sponsor of the charity), random cameos (Joel Schumacher, anyone?), two personal outfit changes and gyrating Brazilian Carnival dancers." Unlike most nights at the exclusive club, everyone who paid $20 got in and was able to mingle with guests and event hosts Jen Brill, Carol Lim, and Humberto Leon. The show is produced by Bette Midler and stars Tony Award nominee Will Swenson, Olivier Award nominee Tony Sheldon and Nick Adams as the trio of drag queen friends who go an uplifting roadtrip through Australia in a bus named Priscilla. After the performance, attendees gathered at Pier 60 to celebrate and speculate over whether it is Tony-worthy.Tweeted:  "Opening night of Queen "Priscilla", each and every act, a killa, They knocked it out, THAT was a thrilla, Holy Mary, some megillah!" gave some lavatory insight: "Intermission at Priscilla Queen of the Desert.     Other Details: GLAAD held its annual Media Awards this past Saturday night at the Marriot Marquis in Times Square. Recipients were announced in 25 of this year's 32 media categories. Mogul Russell Simmons took home the Excellence in Media Award and Ricky Martin scored the Vito Russo Award for bravery when coming out last year. Tina Fey was on hand to receive an award for 30 Rock and told PopEater: how she would come out if she were gay: ""Halftime at the Super Bowl!" she exclaimed. Her second choice?
