Other details: On Saturday the streets of SoHo were drenched in sunlight and joy as New Yorkers came out of hibernation to take advantage of the weekend’s killer weather. The energy on the streets was undoubtedly amplified at 420 Broadway as DKNY transformed its SoHo outpost into a weekend hotspot. The legendary label celebrated its 25th with cupcakes c/o Baked by Melissa - spelling out “DKNY 25” – and complimentary champagne. Free Arts NYC supporters Mary Alice Stephenson, Kelly Rutherford, Amanda Ross, Danielle Bernstein and Chelsea Leyland hosted the event. Leyland spun the beats, keeping the store jumping with shoppers all afternoon. Partygoers even affixed brand “love letters” (read: stickers) to giant DKNY signage. Proclaiming their love for the city, DKNY took the party to the streets, offering free Uber rides throughout NYC. The celebration erupted uptown, too, where DKNY brought an essence of downtown cool to their Madison Ave store. Artist Curtis Kulig hosted the label’s uptown bash while May Kwok brought the tunes.
