Miriam Haskells Opening of the Museum of Arts and Design Fashion Jewelry Exhibit

To celebrate the opening, Chief Operating Officer of Haskell Jewels, Gabrielle Fialkoff, Chief Curator of MAD, David McFadden and Barbara Berger hosted an intimate cocktail at MAD. In honor of the exhibit, Miriam Haskell donated a vintage necklace to the Museum’s permanent collection. All three hosts spoke about Miriam Haskell’s impact on American costume jewelry, as they unveiled the gilded metal and pearl grape cluster necklace, circa 1950 and featured below. The exhibition will be on view through September 22, with a portion of the exhibition remaining open until January 20, 2014.
