Other details: The "Boyhood" premiere took place last night at the BAM Harvey Theater. Writer and director Richard Linklater was proud to show off his long-awaited finished product featuring Ellar Coltrane. This movie followed Coltrane's life from the time he was 6 years old until he was 18. This 12-year film is unlike any other film out there. When asked if Linklater had any other projects in mind, he said that he hadn't even processed the fact that this one has ended, so at the moment there are no future production plans in place. Linklater also said that he was surprised how gradually times had changed over the course of 12 years, and was hoping to capture more drastic changes in society, culture, and ultimately reflect this in his film. After the premiere, guests headed over to Skylight One Hanson for Dark Horse wine and canapés.
