The Tod’s camp, including Diego Della Valle, Alessandra Facchinetti, and Andrea Incontri, greeted guests in the packed entryway. Della Valle chatted with Karolina Kurkova, who donned a chic Tod’s double-breasted suit. Actor Adrian Grenier came by to support the Italian label, as did Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman. Upon arrival, Kidman created a publicity stir, sending guests running towards the entryway. The fashion crowd flocked to the sparkling Tod’s store. Editors from every major publication turned up to show their love for the Italian luxury goods house. WSJ’s Kristina O’Neil arrived with Magnus Berger, while Vanity Fair’s Michael Carl chatted with T Magazine’s Kate Lanphear. A pregnant Miroslava Duma glowed as she browsed Tod’s men’s offerings. Near the back of the store, the Misshapes, Leigh Lezark & Geordon Nicol, manned the DJ booth. Before heading downtown to Calvin Klein, Bryan Boy and Chiara Ferragni stopped by to represent the blogosphere. The smell of Italian leather sped throughout the store as Waris Ahluwahlia talked ‘fashion week’ with Suzy Menkes, and Dorian Grinspan caught up with China Chow and Johannes Huebl. As iPhone batteries dwindled, following a long day of shows, the back of the store served as an impromptu phone charging station. The revamped Madison Avenue store boats a selection of both Men’s and Women’s ready-to-wear lines, as well as a full array of leather goods and accessories.
