Last Night's Parties: Elton John Kicks Off Tribeca, Anna Wintour Celebrates The Fashion Fund Awards

    There was a star-studded red carpet for the opening night of Sister Act on Broadway, Anna Winour celebrated the 2010 Fashion Fund Awards, Latino Leaders Magazine highlighted their 25 outstanding young leaders, Norma Kamali was celebrated Tribeca Film Festival kicked things off with the "The Union" screening. Oh and galas galore!

    Who Was There: Martin Scorsese, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Rainn Wilson, Questlove, Anna Kendrick, Zoe Kravitz, Dennis Leary and much more.

    Other details: 10th annual Tribeca Film Festival kicked off last night at the very chic World Financial Center. The festival started off with the screening of "The Union", about the collaboration between Elton John and Leon Russell. Good thing the rain held off because it was screened outdoors with music by Elton John following the film.     J.CREW, VOGUE and CFDA Celebrate the 2010 CFDA/VOGUE Fashion Fund Awards

    Where: J. Crew Men's Shop, NYC

    Who Was There: Anna Wintour, Prabal Gurung, Christian Cota, Coco Rocha, Joan Smalls, Billy Reid, Erin Fetherson, Rebecca Minkoff, Jeffrey Costello, Hamish Bowles and more.

    Other Details: CFDA partnered with J. Crew for last night's CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund party. Vogue's Anna Wintour and Mark Holgate were in attendance presiding over the festivities. The event was flooded with young CFDA stars, top models and NYC fashion execs. Last summer J. Crew replaced The Gap as the scholarship's primary sponsor, along with Ann Taylor. [via]

    Other Details: The new play is directly based on the 1992 hit movie about a ghetto nighclub gal who finds her way within the habit. Adam Lambert showed up with a beard and his boyfriend.

    Who Was There: Sen Roy Goodman, Elizabeth Rohatyn, Felix Rohatyn, Mary Snow, Barbara Regna, Peter Regna, Claire Fitzgerald, Mark Dorfman, Emily Leonard, Diana Quasha, Christopher Spitzmiller

    Other Details: The theme this year was "You're the Top", honoring Elizabeth Rohatyn, long-time Board Member and Honorary Chair.

    Other details: Latino Leaders celebrated its 2nd annual celebration of 25 outstanding young latin leaders, culture-shapers and world-changers. Carolina Herrera donated lovely gift bags to the event.

    Momentum Women honor Norma Kamali

    Who Was There: Norma Kamali, Ceslie Armstrong

    Other details: Momentum's Ceslie Armstrong took to her tumblr and twitter after the event to tweet a pic of her  "with designer Norma Kamali right after the interview. She is such an incredible woman and has really insightful knowledge about women’s health and wellness. Her collection is really fantastic…especially for working women on the go. You will love the pinstripe looks. There is a wellness cafe in her famous W. 56th Street flagship store. She’s so cool."

    Other Details: The celebration honored Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. Cocktails and dinner followed the celebration for the exhibition "Drawing and its Double: Selections from the Istituto Nazionale per la Grafica".



    Audi Announces Team Audi

    Other Details: Stephen Colbert joined Johan de Nysschen, President of  Audi of America, to announce the formation of Team Audi in the biennial 2011 Charleston Bermuda Race.
