Other details: On Friday, De Beers brand Forevermark launched their new diamond jewelry collaboration with House of Waris. Waris Ahluwalia was joined by a handful of close friends for drinks and dinner at the famous Explorer's Club in the Upper East Side. Guests arrived to the second floor, where there were a handful of of the pieces on display beside a taxidermy polar bear. The library held the rest of the collection, which included diamond necklaces, earrings, and bracelets inspired by South Africa. A short film was on loop throughout the evening showing Waris' journey to South Africa and the process of sourcing the socially ethical diamonds. Notable guests like Devendra Banhart, Johan Lindeberg, and Glenn O'Brien arrived to enjoy drinks, and a crafty few slipped away to the closed 5th floor to examine the mounted trophies of lions, cheetahs, and more. Waris and Charles Stanley of Forevermark both gave short speeches, and after the dinner guests received a special South African honey nougat bar before heading to Bar Nana for the after-party.
