When Minetta Tavern opened in 1937, the Greenwich Village eatery served poets and writers like Ernest Hemingway and E. E. Cummings. The restaurant still possesses an old New York vibe, but since Keith McNally took over and freshened it up, Minetta Tavern thrives as a Parisian steakhouse meets classic New York City tavern, in a happening atmosphere with black and white checkered floors and red booths lining the walls. It boasts some of the most flavorful steak in the city and many other quality dishes.
