FFAWN (The Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, Inc.) celebrated "Mary J. Blige Honors Women Week" last night with a star-studded evening at Cipriani Wall Street.
FFAWN was created, founded and funded in 2007 by singing sensation Mary J. Blige and music marketing mogul Steve Stoute. The foundation inspires women to overcome their personal difficulties to reach their full potential. The foundation also works to empower women through a range of educational programs, helping the women to pursue their individual dreams.
The evening was hosted by Deborah Roberts (ABC News) and Taraji P. Henson.
There were performances by Robin Thicke and Jazmine Sullivan (her most popular hit "Bust Your Windows" regained popularity when Glee used it in one of their episodes).
Honorees include: Mindy Grossman (CEO of HSN), Marjorie Harvey (President & CEO of The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation), Lisa Price (Founder & President of Carol’s Daughter), and Suzy Welch (Best-selling Author, TV Commentator, and Business Journalist).
Other guests in attendance: Rob & Marisol Thomas (Front-man of Matchbox 20 for those of you who weren't 90's kids), Keri Hilson, Kat Deluna, Tichina Arnold, David Foster and Shontelle.
