On Wednesday evening, May 18, explorers, filmmakers, scientists, dancers, musicians, and environmentalists will come together for a very special event: Ocean Inspiration: A Tribute to Jacques Cousteau’s 100th birthday, to be held at the Sea Grill at Rockefeller Center, 19 West 49th Street, New York from 6:30-9:30pm.

MSNBC National Correspondent Contessa Brewer will emcee the evening benefiting the World Resources Institute’s groundbreaking work on coral reefs, the rain forests of the sea.
Two generations of the Cousteau family will be part of this special celebration, including Jean-Michel Cousteau, who will give a sneak preview of his upcoming film “My Father the Captain.” The event will be a unique opportunity to meet voyagers of the famous Calypso!
A celebrity chef will oversee the evening’s menu and Derek Stratton of Pilobolus will premier an original dance. In addition, WRI will present findings from its recent analysis of the state of the world’s coral reefs.
