Audubon New York is holding its 2017 Keesee Award Luncheon honoring Sheila Brady, Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and Susan and Coleman Burke with the 2017 Thomas W. Keesee, Jr. Conservation Award and Terry Tempest Williams with the Audubon New York Award for Environmental Writing, also including special recognition of Patricia H. Keesee. The event begins with a reception at 11:30 a.m., followed by luncheon from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Proceeds support Audubon New York, the state’s leading voice for the conservation and protection of natural resources for birds. Integrating science, conservation, policy and education, Audubon’s mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitat for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.
