What are TigerNuts? TigerNuts, despite the name, are not actually a nut. Found in Africa, they’re an edible tuber, or root vegetable, which archaeological records have shown fuelled up to 80% of our ancestor’s diets, 2 million years back. These roots are the #1 wholefood source of resistant starch, which is a popular prebiotic. Not to be confused with probiotics (live microorganisms), prebiotics are fiber compounds that stimulate the growth of good bacteria in the digestive system. TigerNuts are naturally sweet and can be eaten raw as a snack. They (and all Organic Gemini products made from them) are allergen friendly, being gluten, dairy, and nut free.)

About Organic Gemini Organic Gemini is a health-focused food and beverage company based in Brooklyn. The company was founded by Mariam Kinkladze and George Papanastasatos in 2013.
