Paula Deen
Last on our list this week is the finger-licking, butter-loving, queen of drama: Paula Deen.
The Food Network's most famous Southern chef has been all over the headlines recently due to her uncensored use of the N-word.
Former employee Lisa Jackson is suing both Deen and her brother Bubba for sexual harassment and a hostile work environment. In her deposition for the $1.2 million discrimination trial, Deen said that "of course" she had used the racial slur in the past, and claimed it was only ever in a joking manner.
Deen continued
“It’s just what they are — they’re jokes ... most jokes are about Jewish people, rednecks, black folks ... gays or straights, blacks, redneck, you know, I just don't know — I just don't know what to say,”
(Now Paula honey, if your on trial for discrimination it may not be so smart to throw around other offensive terms like "redneck.")
Since news of the lawsuit leaked, Deen has been fired from The Food Network and has lost numerous other endorsement deals. Forbes estimates the TV chef's net worth at $17 million. We wonder how much she'll put into the lawsuit and how much she'll throw in the frying pan. [NYDailyNews]
