Serena WilliamsMaria Sharapova Despite playing a clean match on the court at the French Open, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova have engaged in a dirty war of words.  In a recent Rolling Stones article, Williams mentioned what the interviewer described as a "top-five player who is now in love" which he believed referenced Sharapova.  Williams was quoted saying "She begins every interview with 'I'm so happy. I'm so lucky' – it's so boring. She's still not going to be invited to the cool parties. And, hey, if she wants to be with the guy with a black heart, go for it."  Sources claim that Williams' comment was due to the fact that Sharapova's current boyfriend is Williams' ex. Sharapova did not stay quiet in regard to this attack on her personal life.  When asked about her opponent in a press conference she replied "If she wants to talk about something personal, maybe she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend that was married and is getting a divorce and has kids.  Talk about other things, but not draw attention to other things. She has so much in her life, many positives, and I think that's what it should be about."  While trying to mature about the issue, it was still a low blow.  Tennis fans everywhere are on the edge of their seats, anticipating who will win this off court match. [HuffingtonPost] **Beyond her Sharapova shakedown, Williams' gets a dishonorable mention due to her response to an Ohio rape case.  When asked about the 16 year old girl, Williams's responded that she "shouldn't have put herself in that position."  Sexual assault is never the fault of the victim and Williams' comment was both immature and irresponsible as a public figure.
