While our final beach pick may not be in New York, it is an easily accessible day trip. Ferry Service Seastreak runs daily between E. 35th St., Wall Street and Sandy Hook beach. Enjoy the on-board cash bar and water views on the ferry. Upon debarking, opt to hit the beach or rent a bike. The free-spirited can shed their inhibitions - and clothing - at Gunnison Beach, the state's only legal nude beach.
