Ira Silverberg, the influential literary agent and editor, is currently working as the Strategic Advisor at Open Road Integrated Media, a digital publishing and multi-media content company. Ira tells us that he spends his days finding "out-of-print literary fiction and non-fiction and [brings] them back to life through digital publishing." We could sense Ira's literary genius the moment he walked on set, telling us about all the best writers in the industry and all his work reviving lost literature. Prior to his role at Open Road, Ira served as Editor in Chief of Grove Press and Publisher and Founding Co-Editor of High Risk Books, as well as a longtime literary agent and Foreign Rights Director at Donadio & Olson and Sterling Lord Literistic. Ira also founded the marketing and public relations firm, Ira Silverberg Communications, who's clients included names like William S. Burroughs and Dennis cooper. His passion for the industry is overwhelmingly apparent through his career, and in 2013 he received the Publishing Triangle’s Leadership Award. Read on for more about Ira Silverberg!
