On New York: “I’m not quite sure I could survive anywhere else.”
What do you actually do all day? It is bookended by spending time with my husband and daughter early in the morning and after work. In the middle, I edit 13 issues of Hamptons, contribute to Gotham and work with the fashion team across 12 titles.
Favorite song growing up? George Michael, Freedom (and that video is iconic)
My biggest secret is… I don’t know how to ride a bicycle, but I am a champion Backgammon player. 2 secrets for the price of one.
Why do you live in NYC? I’m not quite sure I could survive anywhere else.
Uber, Taxi, Subway or Citi Bike? I Uber my fair share but I still love a NYC yellow cab. See above re: Cititbike, that’s a no.
My motto is… Search out what is #spyluxe at all times.
My alter ego is… She’s considerably tall, has tons of free time to do yoga and have long lunches with her friends, i.e. not me!
Last drink I had was… A crisp glass of white wine at my new favorite neighborhood spot Claudette. It’s fabulous!
My secret crush is… Lincoln Pilcher but he is with Carolyn Murphy so I don’t have a shot and I’m married to the best guy.
What was your first job? An accessories assistant at Vogue magazine, a lot of hard work but the best industry apprenticeship you can get.
If you had one day left in NYC what would you do? Walk all of my favorite neighborhoods with my family and work on my book.
Coming from? Going to? Coming from camp drop off for our daughter Sadie. Going to a business lunch at Laconde Verde.
What is your favorite work of art? Leonardo Da Vinci’s studies for the Virgin and Child St. Anne and the Infant Baptise (c. 1505)
Who should we know? The folks at SBE – run by Sam Nazarian. It’s a hot hospitality/nightlife/lifestyle group with lots in the works. SLS Las Vegas opened Labor Day weekend. A global one to watch.
