You Should Know: Ryder Ripps

Ryder Ripps

When the New York Times acclaimed "artist of the Internet" Ryder Ripps showed up to our photo shoot flashing a vintage Louis Vuitton briefcase full of $2 bills, a Marcel Duchamp book, and his passport, we knew we wanted to know more about where this conceptual artist garners his creative juices. Ryder founded OKFocus, an interactive online site and digital agency featuring a collection of Ryder's work and clientele. These high-profile projects include Nike's Feel London campaign, Animation Domination High Def with Fox Network, and the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo. Ryder is also the current artistic director for Diesel. His personal site provides us with an opportunity to explore his genius, featuring refreshingly out-of-the-box works including "PostHang," "Refreshing Darkness," and "200 Obvious Ideas," Ryder tells us that we should get to know "people who are kind, honest, and fearlessly creative," which we think is an excellent philosophy and more than enough reason to know him.
