Deerfield Academy Students Busted for Boozing
After graduating from the highly selective boarding school in Massachusetts, about 150 Deerfield students went out to celebrate at a family home in Vermont (as one does after surviving four years of propriety in bumfuck nowhere). However, after a noise complaint from a nearby summer camp alerted the police, the party was busted (I remember my first beer). The host, a 51 year old man, was cited for serving alcohol to minors and 140 graduates were written up for underage drinking. Each partier cited was ordered to undergo counseling and contact a court diversion program. If they failed to complete these tasks, they would be obligated to pay a $300 fine and 90-day license suspension. God forbid.
