Finishing second in the 100m back stroke at the Olympic Trials, this 19-year-old University of California, Berkeley recruit has secured her spot on the Olympic team headed to Rio. She is among the 30 first-timers on the U.S. swimming roster and has previously placed 2nd in the 200m back at the Phillips 66 Nationals in 2014 and swam the preliminary backstroke leg of the 4x100m medley relay in the 2015 World Championships before teammate Missy Franklin took over in the championship final - the U.S. squad placed 4th overall.
